The County Showground is perfectly set in the heart of Shropshire with just a 15 minute walk from the Historic Tudor Town of Shrewsbury. It boasts 53 acres and is bordered by the River Severn. It has been used for many events including the four-day Shrewsbury Folk Festival which attracted more than 20,000 visitors last year. There is ample parking for more than 2,000 cars, more than 100 toilets, including disabled, a covered bar area, and stands and stalls.
HOW TO GET THERE

BY CAR
Shrewsbury is easily accessible and is linked to the motorway by the A5 and M54. Please see the map for your route planning. The postcode for your Sat Nav is: SY1 2PF.
Parking is free. Disabled drivers will need to show their blue badges to the stewards on arrival to access the reserved parking area.
BY RAIL
Shrewsbury Railway Station - 15 minute walk (as detailed below).
BY BUS
The showground is a short walk from Shrewsbury Bus Station (as detailed below) if you are travelling from the local area. For details of bus routes and times within the county, please call the Shropshire Traveline on 0870 6082608.
The National Express run coaches into Shrewsbury, please call 08705 808080 or go to www.nationalexpress.com
ON FOOT
FROM SHREWSBURY TRAIN STATION/TOWN CENTRE
It takes about fifteen minutes to walk from Shrewsbury Railway Station to the West Midlands Showground which is signposted the Agricultural Showground.
As you leave the railway station turn right to go under the railway bridge and take a left under another bridge to bring you out onto Chester Street opposite the Gateway Education and Arts Centre.
Turn right and *keep the river on your left as you head up into Coton Hill. Walk along the river and up to a row of homes on your left before turning left into the signposted Pig Trough (opposite the Bird In Hand pub) and then left down a set of steps into The Flash.
At the end of The Flash you will reach the West Midlands Showground. Alternatively (to avoid the steps) continue along the Pig Trough and take a left turn at the end which will lead you to the main road entrance to the showground about 100 yards along.
FROM SHREWSBURY BUS STATION
Come out of the bus station facing the river and turn right by The Albert pub and the traffic lights. Follow this road along and round to the left and you will come to the Gateway Education and Arts Centre. Walk past the centre on your left and up alongside the river.

The world’s biggest big, big, big raffle is back and this year it’s even more humongously huge. Keep an eye on the Raffle Porn page as more and more glorious goodies are added to the groaning grab bag of swag! |

The venue is flat. It is open. There are disabled toilets which work on the Radar key system. There are ramps to the only building that is ever so slightly higher than ground level. Access, as far as reasonably practicable should not be an issue. |

Since this an outdoor event children and pets (on leads) are welcome. |

There will be two catering vans on site. There is a bar with seating for 300 thirsty vapers. Those of you who came last year will be pleased to know that this year it will be a cash bar – no queuing for tickets and then queuing again for drinks! |

If you are an outdoorsy type, and want to save a few bob, bring a tent. Your stay is FREE (Friday & Saturday). Think of the shiny new mod you can get instead of spending money on a hotel room! Plan for electricity NOT being available. Please print out the Camping Rules and bring them with you. |

If you’re dead posh, or cannot get any shut eye without starched sheets and plumped pillows, there are a number of hotels and B&Bs nearby. Check out LateRooms.com for a random selection… |

It has been suggested by some eager vendors that we should have a fee paying cashpoint on site, but that kind of goes against the principal of being a truly free event – we would never rip you off (plus we don’t have the £2,000 it would cost to install). There are plenty of FREE cashpoints within easy walking distance – see this map for details. |

Well, I will not tell you the answer. You can suffer as I did. I can only presume that these mathamatical quests we are being forced to take in is some form of manual bitcoin mining operation. I hope we, the vaping community will get a share. I cannot wait for Vapefest 2014. I do hope it will be as much fun as 2013.

Caravans are allowed
But we are unable to promise electricity due to the distance from the alloted camping section and we may require the electrical hook ups on Saturday (still working out the details on this).
Pitches aren’t reserved, it is a case of turn up. There is a vast area allocated to camping so we do not expect this to be an issue and do have a back up plan if need be
Really can’t wait for this years Vape fest. Bringing the whole family to this one and anyone else I can get involved by spreading the word!

We at ciggiestardust are really looking forward to meeting customers past, present and future at the Vapefest in Shrewsbury this year. As an online company, we have very little contact with our customers other than the occasional email or feedback, so this event will hopefully offer us the opportunity to introduce ourselves to our regular customers as well as new suppliers.
We will be bringing our legendary camera so don’t forget to wear your best smile and say “Eeeeeeeeeeeee - eliquid” ! Flash! Gotcha!
One of the most important aspects of this event for us will be to meet new juice suppliers. with that ever-illusive exceptional range of liquids that are just as attractive to those who prefer not to vape nicotine as those who do - admittedly a tall-order. Any recommendations gratefully received…………

In years to come, when Nicotine is no longer associated with the commercial admix that passes for tobacco ,Maryjanegiggleweed is no longer vilified, but recognized for its medicinal , as well as its ‘recreational’ properties and with the arrival of yet to be discovered “Vapable Delights”, consenting adults will at last be Sovereign - free to make our own rules without the interference of Business interests represented by GovernMENTAL lobbies.
Legislate as they may - and they may! - the failure to stem the proliferation of Marhijuana has proven to us all that laws and rules are ineffective and best when ignored. The current attempt by the European Tobacco Lobby to control nicotine is a joke. The cat is already out of the bag. Gallons of Nicotine (additive-free) have already been stockpiled by intrepid entrepreneurs, so “Bring it on”
The Tobacco Industry has had it too good for too long, mixing lethal cocktails of ‘additives’ to Nicotine to make cigarettes carcinogenous. Enough is enough!
Every day we counsel people who wish to stop smoking tobacco and who would welcome the opportunity to vape the far-less ‘addictive’ pure nicotine to be found in eliquids. An incredible amount of these ‘addicts’ find that they can gradually lower or eliminate nicotine from their lives with the use of a vapourizer..
It is amazing that companies like Ebay choose to conspire with the Tobacco Industry by removing, when they can, any listing offering Vapourizers or “Nicotine flavoured” eliquids. Such actions are an affront to a civilized society trying to free itself from the grips of, not nicotine, but tobacco addiction.
So, let’s all pray for sunshine in Shrewbury this August . The only clouds we wish to see are clouds of vapour flowing free in the air.
